It absolutely saves travel expenses and it opens more patients to reach doctors of specialties that are located outside of rural areas. And I believe it helps the overall care of the patients with a 24/7 service from calling a doctor whether they are located in a different state and possible overseas with licenses in the U.S. That can cover different time zones and what nots.

The continual contact with that ONE doctor that the patient has been in contact with from the beginning will benefit their own health. Telemedicine is on the rise and in this new age of medicine and technologically advanced medical students, this is a race that needs to be won.
